SANS South African National Standard Plug
The South African national standard plug is divided into a large South African plug and a small South African plug, usually in the shape of three cylinders forming a triangle. The maximum pin (grounding wire) of Greater South Africa is 8.7 ± 0.04mm (cross-sectional diameter), and the two small pins (live wire and neutral wire) are 7.05 ± 0.04mm. The maximum pin (grounding) of Small South Africa is 7.05 ± 0.04mm, and the two small pins (live wire and neutral wire) are 5.07 ± 0.04mm.
Small South Africa, on the other hand, is similar to Greater South Africa in that the pins of Small South Africa are smaller than those of Greater South Africa, and the spacing between the pins of Small South Africa is smaller than that of Greater South Africa.
Solid copper feet: These are machined from copper rods, featuring strong heads. The riveting area presents significant processing challenges, requiring annealing treatment. Due to high material wastage, the cost is correspondingly elevated.
Hollow copper feet: These are processed using stamping technology, with the hollow cavity typically filled with plastic to enhance head strength. The riveting area employs friction annealing technology, making the material more environmentally friendly, lower in cost, and with promising market prospects.
